Hello Meggie and thank you for visiting my blog : )
AntwortenLöschenSo you are in the same zone as out west here in Canada ! .. I would switch with you for that high pressure zone , frost and all .. we are going through wet windy horrible weather that has tornm the beautiful coloured leaves off the trees before I have had a chance to take pictures of them .. I love your pmpkin soup description! It sounds wonderful and to have the pumpkin to put a candle in ? PERFECT ! : )
Joy
PS .. love those moon shots !
AntwortenLöschenHa-ha Joy, the high pressure is already gone and we have the same rainy and stormy weather as you.
Too bad, no Indian Summer ...
Thanks for looking in!
meggie
Meggie that little bird is a Starling (they can be a little bit of a pesty bird .. large flocks, very noisy etc ..) but one on its own looks cute : )
AntwortenLöschenDid I ever tell you we lived in the Netherlands for 4 years .. the very south between Belgium and Germany ? way back in '94 to'99
It was fantastic : )

PS .. yes Sumac are a bit poisonus but most of the plants in many garden are too .. so you just make a point of NOT eating them ? LOL
Oh really?!How interesting and funny!
AntwortenLöschenThis is still a few hundred miles away from us.;-)
A starling - ours are much more dark.
I understand that you think they can get on your nerves!!
I really don't want to touch the Sumac because of allergic reaction!
Luckily for us there is no sumac!
Meggie you are going to have to post some different pictures soon or we will have this post becoming a book ! haha
AntwortenLöschenI have other plants that are more irritating to the skin than Sumac .. Monkshood is one to be very careful of .. meadow rue, quite a few others you have to watch skin contact with .. but I do wear garden gloves all of the time so it isn't so bad for me.
We are in wind and rain mode yet again .. this has been a terrible Autumn darn it !!
Joy
Haha Joy, it doesn't matter ;-)
AntwortenLöschenOh, I've to read something about these plants.
Here it goes with the air pressure always up and down - you will get really dizzy ....
